The single largest asset almost any family has is their home if they own it. Even with the insane interest paid over a 30 year amortized mortgage, the combination of tax benefits and appreciation coupled with one's ability to control it's value and insure it against loss makes home ownership one of the most effective, time tested routes to financial stability. And that only accelerates if you are able to earn income from real estate. Home ownership and real estate investing can become another solid tool to acquire financial stability.
I do not personally teach all aspects of real estate investing. The only area I consider myself well experienced and skilled currently is short term rentals. I personally learned most of what I know from an online education company, though I also learned a lot through local REIA groups, various books and well-known online sources, and of course personal experience. This is not an area to get involved in ignorantly. Do your homework and know what you are doing before getting involved in real estate or this fantastic asset could become your greatest liability.
