My Story
My life's purpose has always been clear:
To inspire people to be the best version of themselves by empowering them with the tools, skills, systems, and support they need to achieve their dreams.
As a public school teacher and advisor to Kiwanis clubs and engineering competition teams, I always focused on being a facilitator for my students' growth and behavioral change. I studied the neuroscience of brain development, the psychology of behavior change and group dynamics, and motivational science. I individualized instruction and encouraged students to take an active role in their own goals and development. I ran an interactive, hands-on classroom, believing that multimodal learning provides the most lasting impact.
I've always believed that education creates confidence - and confident people make better decisions. So when I hit a point in life where I realized that I had been doing all the traditional things that were "supposed to bring a secure retirement"... and they weren't on track to do that. I set out to learn all the things the "traditional systems" didn't teach me.
Ten years later, my personal financial literacy journey has included career transitions, entrepreneurship, real estate investing, formal training, informal training, mentorships, and a bit of learning through the school of life (Life will life you). I've needed to rebuild through some insane unexpected challenges. And I learned through it all and use it to bring depth and real life examples to every topic I cover in instructional courses.
In the summer of 2026, I officially merged my passion for teaching/coaching and decades of experience with the last 10 years of study to become a Certified Financial Education Instructor with the National Financial Education Council and launched Prosperous Life Path as the leading personalized financial goal acquisition program in the region and online.
My approach is intentionally focused on blending financial education, self-awareness, behavior change, action planning, accountability support, and personal empowerment to create plans tailored to your life, goals, and personality at a fraction of the cost of traditional one on one financial coaching. This is not a cookie cutter spreadsheet that tells you to feel guilty for grabbing your favorite beverage.
I believe that when people truly understand how our money systems and various financial strategies work, they're empowered to make decisions to fit their own goals and values, limiting reliance on financial planners or the life cost of the "pray my employer's plan benefits me" option. I provide information and support, you draft the plan that fits you, and we check in regularly to keep you on track to achieving your plan.

On The Personal Side:
Marti Stanford is a lifelong teacher who gets energized by helping others achieve their goals. She's always viewed life as a collaborative journey where we all gain by serving each other. She finds great joy in contributing to the success of others and seeing them enjoy the results of their efforts.
Marti is a mom to three amazing adults, gramma to one, and loving daughter and caregiver to her mom. She also has 3 friendly cats. She learned budgeting and a wide variety of DIY skills while raising those kids as a divorced mom on a Florida school teacher's salary. She has also worked in a wide range of service industry jobs, been self-employed, and worked a multitude of gig-economy based side hustles over the years. She brings experiences of both challenges and successes in these areas to understand and support her students.
Originally from WNY, She has spent over half her life in the Southern states of Virginia, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida, so she's still getting used to the WNY winters again and might occasionally say y'all or speak with a drawl.
Marti values long term relationships, having many friends from college, high school, or longer still in her life. She's that friend who gets called when life gets tough or will grab a beverage and just listen when you have a lot on your mind. She cares deeply for others and truly believes this world is better when all of us are able to pursue our dreams and see the best in each other.
Additionally, Marti loves to sing in choruses or at a karaoke night, attend live music events, dance along to great music, or enjoy a peaceful day out hiking in a state park or relaxing by any of our beautiful regional lakes.
She is currently creating the life that she never needs to retire from, focusing on positive relationships, community involvement, and emotionally and intellectually stimulating work.
